Event companies, planners and hire companies on our network work in all nine provinces, from Sandton conference venues and Cradle of Humankind wedding venues to Winelands farms, the KwaZulu-Natal coast and Midlands, Lowveld lodges and the towns of the Free State, Karoo and Northern Cape. Gauteng
Gauteng is the busiest events market in the country, from corporate functions and conferences at convention centres in Sandton, Midrand and Johannesburg to weddings at garden venues and lodges around the Cradle of Humankind, Magaliesburg and Pretoria East. Families hold birthdays, kids' parties and traditional ceremonies in home gardens, community halls and church grounds across Soweto, Tembisa and the East Rand, while schools book matric dances and fun days. Summer brings afternoon thunderstorms, so many hosts plan a marquee or stretch tent as cover. Winters are dry and cold at night. Most planners and hire companies work from Johannesburg, Pretoria and the East Rand.

Mpumalanga
Mpumalanga is known for bush and escarpment venues, from game lodges near Hazyview and the Kruger Park to garden venues around White River, Sabie and Graskop. Weddings, corporate retreats and team building are the main bookings, with conferences in Mbombela, eMalahleni and Middelburg, and community events, funerals and church gatherings in towns across the province. Lowveld summers are hot, humid and stormy, while Highveld winter nights are cold, so heating and shade both matter. Many lodges are remote, which affects delivery and setup time. Planners and hire companies work mainly from Mbombela, eMalahleni and Middelburg, and travel to lodges and farms.
North West
North West events range from lodge and bush weddings around Hartbeespoort, Brits and the Magaliesberg to corporate functions for the mining houses in Rustenburg and Klerksdorp. Potchefstroom's university adds graduations, student functions and conferences, while farm towns host weddings, church events, funerals and traditional ceremonies in gardens, halls and open land. The province is hot and dry for much of the year, with summer storms and cold winter nights, so shade, water and power are worth planning early. Venues can be far apart. Planners and hire companies work mainly from Rustenburg, Potchefstroom, Klerksdorp and Brits, and travel to farms and rural venues.
Limpopo
Limpopo's events lean towards the bush, with game lodges around Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa, farm venues near Tzaneen and Modimolle, and bushveld weddings under baobab and mopane trees. Polokwane is the main centre for conferences, corporate functions, matric dances and church gatherings, while rural villages host large traditional ceremonies, funerals and community celebrations on open ground. Summers are very hot with sudden storms, so shade, water and cooling matter, and winter evenings can be cold. Distances are long between venues. Most planners and hire companies work from Polokwane, with some in Tzaneen and Mokopane, and may add travel time for remote events.
Northern Cape
The Northern Cape is vast and quiet, so events are often about the setting: weddings on Orange River farms near Upington, desert and Karoo lodges, and garden or hotel venues in Kimberley. Kimberley hosts conferences, school functions, matric dances and corporate events, while mining towns like Kathu and Kuruman book company functions and community days. Springbok and Namaqualand draw visitors in the spring flower season. Summers are very hot and windy, winter nights are freezing, and venues can be hours apart. Planners and hire companies are concentrated in Kimberley and Upington, so travel and early booking matter for events in smaller towns.
Free State
The Free State offers wide open country for events, from farm and guest-farm weddings and sandstone-hill venues around Clarens, Bethlehem and Harrismith to hotels and conference venues in Bloemfontein. The city also hosts graduations, school functions, matric dances and church gatherings, while Welkom, Kroonstad and Sasolburg book corporate functions, community days and birthdays. Summers are hot with sharp thunderstorms and winters bring frost and very cold nights, so tent heating and wind security are worth asking about. Many farm venues lie far from town. Planners and hire companies work mainly from Bloemfontein, Welkom and Sasolburg, and travel to farms and eastern towns.
KwaZulu-Natal
KwaZulu-Natal has an events scene built around the coast and the hills, with beach and estate weddings in Umhlanga, Ballito and the South Coast, hotel and conference events at the Durban ICC, and garden and country venues along the Midlands Meander near Howick and Hilton. Corporate functions, school events, traditional ceremonies, church gatherings and large community celebrations fill the calendar, and Durban hosts festivals and sporting events. Summers are hot and humid with heavy afternoon storms, and winters are mild and dry. Planners and hire companies work from Durban, Umhlanga, Pietermaritzburg and the Midlands, and travel up and down the coast.
Eastern Cape
The Eastern Cape spans coastal events in Gqeberha, East London, Jeffreys Bay and Port Alfred to inland Karoo farms, Makhanda's festival calendar and the rural heartland around Mthatha. Weddings are held on beaches, farms and in gardens, and traditional ceremonies, funerals and large community gatherings take place at family homesteads and halls. Gqeberha and East London book corporate functions, conferences and school events, and Makhanda hosts its national arts festival each winter. The coast is windy, humid and changeable, while the Karoo is hot by day and cold at night. Planners and hire companies work mainly from Gqeberha, East London and Mthatha.
Western Cape
The Western Cape is the country's wedding and function capital, with wine farms around Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl, mountain and ocean venues in Cape Town, and Garden Route spots from George to Knysna. Corporate events and conferences use the CTICC and hotels in the city, and the province also hosts festivals, school functions, birthdays and community days. Summers are dry and warm but the south-easter can be fierce, so wind-rated tents matter, and winters bring cold rain. Popular venues book out fast. Planners and hire companies work from Cape Town's northern suburbs, the Winelands and the Garden Route.
