Events in Centurion
Centurion is a popular base for corporate events, thanks to its hotels, conference venues and business parks close to the highway between Johannesburg and Pretoria. Teams hold strategy sessions, product launches and year-end functions here, and many companies prefer the central location. Estates, lodges and garden venues around Irene and Eldoraigne suit weddings and birthday parties, and school and church halls host matric dances, fundraisers and community days. Residents in security estates often hold parties on their own lawns, which means tents, chairs and sound need to fit estate rules. Planners and hire companies work from Lyttelton, Hennopspark and Sunderland Ridge, and summer storms can turn an outdoor plan wet quickly.
Typical stretch tent hire requests in the area come from:
- Corporate functions and year-end parties: a branded lounge or hospitality tent at a launch, golf day or client function
- Conferences, launches and expos: shaded networking and coffee areas beside an exhibition hall
- Weddings and traditional ceremonies: a flowing white canopy over long tables and a ceremony lawn, open to the garden
- Birthdays and private parties: a relaxed garden party tent with lounge furniture, a bar and festoon lights
- School events and matric dances: shade for a fun day, an outdoor prize-giving or a parent function
- Kids' parties and baby showers: cool shade for a party lawn, with low tables for food and activities
